How It All Started
Founded in 1859, First Euhaw Baptist Church was established by a group of dedicated Christians with a vision to create a welcoming space for all people.
Since then, we have grown into a vibrant, compassionate community that serves both our members and the city around us. Our commitment to faith, service, and connection continues to guide us as we seek to make a positive impact in the lives of all who come through our doors.
Meet Our Pastor
Elder Francis Keith Thorne is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. In 2022, he was installed as Pastor of First Euhaw Baptist Church. While he loves to preach the Gospel, his greatest passion is teaching the Word of God. His interactive Bible study keeps members excited about learning the Word. He challenges his members to continue to study and live the Word of God. His favorite question to ask “Is there a Word from the Lord? Elder Thorne loves to sing “It’s Another Day that the Lord has kept me” for truly God keeps him day by day. He has compassion for those hurting and is always ready to counsel and encourage those in need.
